AGI remains unsolved.
New ideas still needed.

ARC Prize Foundation

The North Star to AGI

The ARC Prize is a non-profit dedicated to accelerating the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). We believe that true AGI requires more than just scaling up existing AI models. It demands a fundamental shift towards systems capable of genuine fluid intelligence, the ability to adapt to novel challenges and solve problems efficiently, much like humans do.

Our core mission is to identify, measure, and ultimately close the capability gap between human and artificial intelligence on tasks that are simple for people yet remain difficult for even the most advanced AI systems today.

We achieve this by creating and curating human-calibrated benchmarks that serve as a clear and objective measure of progress towards AGI.

These benchmarks are not just tests, they are a driving force. They incentivize researchers to explore approaches that go beyond pattern matching and memorization.

The ARC Prize cultivates a collaborative, open-source ecosystem, encouraging the sharing of ideas and solutions to overcome the key limitations of current AI.

Ultimately, we envision a future where AI possesses the adaptable, creative problem-solving abilities necessary to benefit humanities most pressing challenges.

If you'd like to get involved, please visit our donation page or contact us at team@arcprize.org.

The ARC Prize Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to open scientific progress through enduring AI benchmarks.

We operate as an independent nonprofit, ensuring our incentives remain aligned with the public good.
